About us
Ensuring Affordable and High-Quality Surgical Care Nationwide, Including Rural Areas
The Africa Integrated Surgical Centre (AISC) was founded in 2021 by Dr. Oidamae Tobiko to address the growing challenges in medical and surgical practices. The shift towards specialization has increased referrals, leading to financial strain, treatment delays, and suboptimal outcomes, particularly for cancer patients. Rural communities have been especially affected by these issues.
In recent years, there has been a significant increase
in referrals due to the evolving nature of medical and
surgical practices towards specialization. This shift
has not only added financial strain to patients but has
also led to treatment delays and suboptimal outcomes,
particularly for diseases like cancer. Rural communities
have been disproportionately affected.
To address this gap, Dr. Oidamae Tobiko founded
the Africa Integrated Surgical Centre (AISC) in 2021,
a multidisciplinary surgical center which is still in its
formative stages. At the moment, AISC is run by one
specialist surgeon but our goal is to bring on board
surgeons from all specialities.
